Music by various Neapolitan composers

The scent of the sea, the freshly baked puff pastries accompanied by the well-known espresso coffee, the voices, the melodies and the colors of the streets and alleys teeming with people but above all the love and passion are all elements clearly perceptible in this splendid collection of successful Neapolitan songs transposed into an instrumental key by Fernando Fracassi.

From the great international successes of late nineteenth-century songs in the Neapolitan vernacular such as 'O sole mio, Torna 'a Surriento, Santa Lucia, Fernando Fracassi leads us to the wonderful melodies of Malafemmena, Funiculi Funicula and Maria Mari' to conclude his journey in music with his own original composition 'O fonografo cu a manuvella, inspired by a famous poem by Antonio De Curtis (aka Toto) on the theme of happiness which the author considers non-existent on our earth. An unmissable album in the personal collection of lovers of bel canto and the Neapolitan tradition.

Lebensmelodien, a German title corresponding to Melodies of Life in English, is a celebratory album that encapsulates Fernando Fracassi's personal musical and human journey spanning forty years of an international professional career. Beginning in the flautist-composer's homeland of Italy, the album extends its reach to various countries across continents. From Europe to the Middle East, Africa, Asia, South and North America, these are the places where the Italian musician has performed concerts, taught, and immersed himself in local musical cultures.

In all his travels, Fernando Fracassi procured handcrafted ethnic flutes used in local popular music. He mastered the playing techniques, learned the main musical forms, and then crafted original compositions inspired by rhythms, melodies, and local harmonies. As a result, the album features a diverse array of instruments, including Romanian flutes like the fluier, Irish flutes such as the tin whistle, as well as ancient flutes like the sopranino and alto recorder, along with modern ones from the family of modern Bohm flutes. These are complemented by meticulously created electronic music bases in the studios of Fernando Fracassi Music.

The album showcases a variety of timbres and styles, yet it maintains a subtle common thread: the theme of universal love, social integration, and emotions shared by all humanity. Whether you're seeking relaxation on your home sofa or an ideal soundtrack for a virtual journey around the world, Lebensmelodien offers an hour of listening pleasure that transports listeners across cultures and emotions.
